As more and more restaurants across Europe use NordQR, we have added 24 additional languages, bringing the total to 48 languages. With this update, we remain committed to helping restaurants connect with their customers more effectively and enhance the experience of each diner, regardless of their origin.
With this update, the user experience for viewing dishes on NordQR's digital menus is significantly improved. Dish details now open in a "bottom sheet" instead of a new page, mimicking the behavior of many native apps.
This new feature we have just integrated allows, through artificial intelligence, to increase the dimensions and definition of images uploaded to NordQR.
The process is automatic and is activated when the image of a dish does not meet the minimum dimensions to ensure adequate resolution.
Give your menu a little more personality with new functionality to adjust button corners. You will find this option on the Settings page, Appearance section. You can choose between two types of corners:
Until now, menu buttons contained an icon that could be exchanged for another. With this new option that you will find on the Settings page, Appearance section, you can decide to hide or show these icons.
We are pleased to announce the implementation of a new search engine on the public menu page. This way, your clients will be able to find the dishes more quickly and efficiently. This search engine is accessible from the main page and from the menu page, in the upper right corner.
Many of you manage multiple restaurants that share the same menus. With this new feature, it's now possible for the menu of one restaurant to act as the Primary and be reflected in other restaurants.
Currently, Menu Synchronization is in beta for some users. If you want to try it, please contact our team.
Many of you had asked for a role similar to that of Editor but with more restrictions. Today we launch the new Limited Editor role, whose only available permissions are:
The ability to edit other aspects of the menu (prices, descriptions, etc.) will remain active in the other Editor role.
From now on, you can create your digital menus faster and more efficiently by importing an Excel file. You just have to prepare your menu in Excel, upload the file, and our system will convert it into an advanced digital menu that you can customize to your liking.
The latest update in NordQR brings important improvements related to QR codes. We have completely redesigned the QR Code section so that you can personalize and give a unique style to your restaurant's QR.
These are some of the options you will find:
Remember that no matter how many changes you make, the URL of the QR will never change.
You can now customize the URL of your public NordQR page to make it more similar to the restaurant name.
This feature is currently only available for new accounts. We will soon enable it for all accounts.
You spoke, we listened. We know how important Google reviews are for your businesses and how useful it would be to see them on your menu. We’re thrilled to announce that starting today your NordQR menu can now be synced with your Google Business Profile.
Your customers will be able to:
What does this mean for you:
This Feature is only available for the Lite and Pro plans. If you do not have a Google Business Profile, you can create one for free on this page.
With this design tweak, information related to ratings will have more visibility and presence (something very important for restaurants). From now on, customers will be able to see the average score as well as the number of views at a glance.
The rest of the information (location, map, wifi and social networks) will be accessible from another link located below the reviews.
To guarantee the speed, reliability and availability of the public menu, we have prepared some changes to our servers that will guarantee the following improvements:
From now on you will be able to select up to 5 font sizes in your printed menus: Small, very small, normal (default), large and very large.
Very useful to further customize the properties of your menus.
The billing section has received a long-awaited facelift. We've improved and simplified the flow for changing plans and canceling the subscription.
Show your customers the social networks of your restaurant. Go to the Settings section to add Instagram, Facebook and Twitter profiles.
If you need to add other networks, contact us.
From the Basic Information section of your account Settings, you can now add the map with the address of your local. To do so, simply enter the address and then drag the map to the desired position.
This new feature makes menu management easier for restaurants that have the same dish or category on multiple menus. To copy a dish or category of dishes, click on the 3-dot button of the desired element. Then select which menu you want to copy the selection to and save the changes.
Until now, all NordQR menus were created using the advanced Editor. While we still recommend this option for creating a menu, with the new functionality we just released it is also possible to create menus from PDFs and images. You just have to give the menu a name and upload the desired file. You should bear in mind that unlike the menus made with the NordQR Editor, this type of menu cannot be edited. You can only change its name and visibility.
The Stats section sports an improved graph. Stacked columns make it easy to scan data, and a simple overall metric shows total visits and the variance from the last period.
Although Nordqr is designed to offer menus in digital format, some restaurants prefer to combine them with physical menus. With this new feature you can download your digital menus in PDF format and print them. To do so, you just have to select some parameters related to the appearance of the menu you want to print (theme, size and options) and download it.
Many users have asked us for the possibility of associating more than one restaurant to the same email account. It hasn't been easy, but we've finally released this new feature.
From the user menu you can now change restaurants or add a new one without having to log out and log in again with a different email. You should keep in mind that each restaurant needs a plan (Basic, Lite or Pro).
With this new feature you can now add members to your restaurant account and work as a team with them to manage the menus.
There are 3 types of members:
Owner. Full control over all NordQR features (menu editor, settings, stats, billing...).
Admin. Can do the same as the Owner except for operations related to the plan and billing of the account.
Editor. Can only edit menus and see the stats.
You must bear in mind that the number of users per restaurant depends on the contracted plan.
Pro plan. Up to 5 users.
Lite plan. Up to 2 users.
Basic plan. 1 user.
Customize your menus even further with the new fonts we've just added. You can choose up to 6 fonts, each one with it's unique style and personality.
This new function that we have just launched will allow you to add additional information without having to resort to the items on the menu. You can include directions on how to get there, a short description of the restaurant, information about allergens, etc.
If white isn't your thing, try the new dark interface. This theme is designed to reduce eye strain in low light environments. When choosing colors, we wanted to minimize eye strain and use colors closer to the system defaults on iPhone and Android.
We have slightly redesigned the format of the QR codes to make them more compact and fit better in the stands.
The new measurements are:
Since August 30th, NordQR is sending QR stickers to all users who request them, free of charge. You can request them directly from your account, in the QR code page.
You just have to meet the following requirements:
Many of you asked, so we have listened to you.
We've just added a new functionality to change the menu icons. You can select a variety of icons either from the menu page or from the Editor.
Until now, only Admins could see reviews left by customers. We have released a feature that will make these reviews visible in the Restaurant's public web. To activate it, find the toggle located in Settings / Public site and turn it on.
The Navigation bar wasn't perfect, so we've redesigned it. The new one is more visual and in the mobile version it is located at the bottom of the page, so much more convenient when using thumbs.
